Role Overview Leads quality assurance and quality control functions for piping projects.
Roles and Responsibilities Ensure that all quality requirements and the project quality will be in compliance with applicable laws, guidelines, standards, regulations & Client specifications on site
Ensure that the Company Quality manuals with current regulations applicable to relevant tasks are met
Ensure that the approved ITP / CQP / site specific SOPs are adhered to (including those belonging to sub-contractors) and that the inspections are signed-off
Ensure specified NDT / test / PED requirements per system is achieved
Ensure recording of weld logs for inclusion within piping test packs
Preparation & verification of site & product documentation, according to Client requirements, in an accurate and timely manner and uploaded to the agreed platform
Ensure that necessary items are available to complete each work phase
Oversee that the correct quality checks are completed
Verify Sub-contractor quality items are as specified to Client requirements monitor how their quality control is conducted
Co-ordinate all QA / QC activities / correspondence with the project Client QC representative.
Monitor the welding, testing & scope of testing according to requirements of quality documentation
Maintenance of records, interpretation of test results and proper reaction if deviations occur
Ensure WPQRs, WPSs & WQT (matrix), calibration records (gauge / weld plant / digi-levels, etc) and material certifications MTRs are valid
Maintain the various matrices training, lessons learnt, calibrations, welding, etc
Collate data for the population of key KPIs (e.g. welds / repairs; NDT stats; status of test packs / walkdowns / punches / NCRs), benchmarks, FOKs, samples of the required levels of quality are set-up prior to any new activity & communicated to & understood by Supervisors
Maintain an audit schedule & implementation of same
Lead internal quality audits, attend client quality audits and drive close out of actions associated with audits
Qualifications & Experience Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
8+ years QA/QC experience in piping projects.
ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification preferred.
Strong knowledge of welding procedures and NDT.
