We’re partnering with a welcoming secondary school in the York area that’s searching for a permanent Science Teacher to join their thriving department. The school has built a brilliant reputation for staff support, strong behaviour, and creating an environment where both students and teachers can genuinely flourish.
You’ll be teaching Science across KS3 and KS4, with opportunities to specialise at KS5 depending on your subject strength and experience. The school is open to teachers from all Science specialisms, Biology, Chemistry, or Physics, and they’re eager to meet educators who can bring energy, curiosity, and real-world learning into the classroom.

The role:
You’ll be:
• Teaching engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Encouraging curiosity, critical thinking, and hands-on learning
• Supporting students to achieve both academically and personally
• Working closely with a friendly and passionate department team
• Helping create a positive and inclusive learning environment
What we’re looking for:
• UK QTS or currently completing teacher training
• A genuine passion for Science and inspiring young minds
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Someone who can build positive relationships with students and colleagues
• ECTs and experienced teachers are equally encouraged to apply

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
