Position
Caddy Group are looking for a hands on Mechanical Estmitator to join their clients pre consrtruction team.
Key responsibilities
* Prepare detailed mechanical estimates for building services and infrastructure projects
* Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
* Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing
* Evaluate and manage risk during the tender process
* Identify value engineering and cost‑saving opportunities
* Support the bid team with timely and accurate submissions
* Attend client and site meetings where required
Ideal candidate will have/be
* Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator within construction or building services
* Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems in construction
* Excellent numerical and IT skills, with experience using estimating software
* Commercial awareness and strong attention to detail
* Ability to manage multiple tenders and meet tight deadlines
* Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering or related discipline
