Commis Chef
Location: KIMS Hospital, Maidstone
Hours: hours per week
Shifts: 06:30–14:30 or 11:30–19:30 on a rota basis (Monday–Sunday)
Salary: £24,810 per annum

As a Commis Chef, you’ll be part of a supportive team delivering high-quality meals to patients and staff. This role is ideal for someone passionate about food and customer service, who is eager to learn and progress in a stable, rewarding environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Prepare and cook menu items under the guidance of the Head Chef
2. Support stock control and stock taking when required
3. Help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of your section
4. Deliver a prompt, friendly, and efficient service
5. Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety
Who We’re Looking For
Essential:
6. Have experience in a food service customer-facing role
7. Have good written and spoken English
8. Have strong organisational skills
9. Have good numeracy skills
Desirable:
10. Hold a Food Hygiene Certificate
11. Have a passion for food and excellent service
12. Have the ability to plan ahead and use initiative
13. Have experience working in a Kitchen environment
