Job Description Mobile Multi-skilled Commercial Gas Engineer Benefits: - Hourly rate: £22p/h - Overtime rates: 1.5x after 7pm Monday to Friday and all day Saturday, 2x Sunday - £110 per night overnight accommodation and working away allowance - Van included Overview: Are you a qualified and experienced Mobile Multi-skilled Commercial Gas Engineer with a passion for mechanical and electrical building services? Do you want to work as part of our Service and Maintenance team and contribute to our success? Based in North West England and within reasonable commuting distance to various works in the North West (including Manchester and Greater Manchester) and the Midlands (including Nottingham and Birmingham), you will be part of a team working mainly around the North West, the Midlands and surrounding areas. Responsibilities: Work as part of a team to deliver installs, planned and reactive maintenance within Education and Healthcare buildings. Be part of a large mechanical and electrical multi-skilled mobile service team. Be able to work in a team environment and on your own initiative. Have experience working in plantrooms and on various building services plant and systems. Qualifications: A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the mechanical and electrical building services engineering industry (commercial buildings). ACS gas qualifications (commercial) Gas Safe registered (commercial) LPG qualifications (preferred). F-Gas qualifications (preferred). Plumbing and Heating qualifications - NVQ Level 3 or equivalent. Preferred, but not essential, Electrical qualifications – NICEIC certification (18th Edition, etc.). A driving licence and the willingness to travel to different sites and stay overnight as required. Ability to read and understand building services drawings. Basic I.T. skills. Occasional ‘working away’ is required - this would be with plenty of advance notice and all expenses paid. Good and concise communication customer service skills. Successful Enhanced DBS check and certificate (after starting employment). Ability to meet tight programs. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills. Ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities. Day-to-day: Provide planned and reactive maintenance across a range of commercial properties. Work on mechanical and electrical systems, including plantroom equipment. Operate independently and collaboratively within a multi-skilled service team. Travel across the North West and Midlands, with occasional overnight stays (pre-arranged and fully expensed).
