What You’ll Be Doing
As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll be a vital part of the classroom team. You will:
Support children individually and in small groups with their learning
Help create a positive and nurturing classroom environment
Encourage children to stay motivated, engaged, and confident
Assist teachers with classroom activities and preparation
Provide a listening ear and emotional support when needed
Who We’re Looking For
We’d love to hear from you if you:
Enjoy working with children and young people
Are patient, caring, and approachable
Have good communication and teamwork skills
Bring experience from childcare, youth work, sports coaching, customer service, or similar roles
Are eager to learn new skills and make a difference in education
(Previous school experience is welcome but not essential – transferable skills are highly valued.)
Requirements
To work in this role, you’ll need (or be willing to obtain):
EWC registration (School Learning Support Worker category)
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
Two professional references
