Regulatory Operations Specialist (EMIR/SFTR)
An established financial services organisation is seeking a Regulatory Operations Specialist to join its EU Regulatory Operations team on a contract basis. This role offers the opportunity to work autonomously, act as a key SME, and support a range of regulatory reporting and oversight activities across EMIR and SFTR.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Oversight Controls
•Act as the main point of contact for Regulatory Operations topics, engaging with internal and external stakeholders and managing issues or escalations promptly.
•Perform daily EMIR/SFTR oversight controls, including reporting of trades, valuations and collateral to the trade repository (DTCC) and management of related errors.
•Oversee EMIR delegated reporting, pairing and matching processes, and ensure data accuracy andpleteness.
•Produce and maintain key performance indicators for oversight activities.
•Analyse existing processes, identify inefficiencies, and propose enhancements to mitigate operational risk.
•Manage external service providers, including service review activities.
•Draft and maintain operational procedures.
Skills & Experience Required
•Strong academic background, ideally in Business, Finance or a related field.
•2–3+ years’ experience with EMIR or other regulatory reporting regimes within the Asset Management industry.
•Solid technical abilities and familiarity with project management tools or practices.
•Ability to collaborate effectively with Portfolio Management, IT, Sales and external service providers.
•Strongmunication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
•Highly organised and capable of working independently while contributing to a team.
•Fluency in English; additional European languages are a plus.
