Pioneer Youth Worker for Leigh Park
An exciting opportunity to serve the community of a major secondary school in a chaplaincy and youth worker role, establishing and leading new forms of worship while being supported by a loving and open parish church.
This is a full-time position based at Park Community School in Leigh Park, focusing on building faith and a new worshipping community within the vibrant estate. It is initially funded for five years and requires skills in youth work, chaplaincy, and leadership to encourage those new to faith.
The Pioneer Youth Worker will:
* Offer pastoral support to pupils at Park Community School through a chaplaincy-style approach during school hours.
* Organize invitational and worship activities within the school day.
* Establish a new worshipping community with discipleship opportunities for both adults and children.
* Coordinate the school's work with the existing church congregation and activities to create a cohesive community within the parish.
