The opportunity - Senior Project Planner (P6) - Newbury
Project: A strategic infrastructure (within the defence sector) program where Mace has been appointed as one of the delivery partners to provide expertise in managing and delivering key infrastructure projects by bringing specialist skills to support the client's programme of infrastructure improvements.
BPSS / SC Clearence is required
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Leads application of specific planning/scheduling methods, techniques and tools.
2. Good working knowledge of planning/scheduling, EVM, project controls methodologies
3. Ability to advise on complex requirements and communicate analysis and corrective measures effectively.
4. Able to manage planning/scheduling delivery of medium/high complexity
5. projects/programmes.
6. Ability to play key role in multidisciplinary teams and take lead role in creating plans or analysing trends using numerical and statistical techniques.
7. Leads and manages a team of professionals delivering planning/schedule management services and responsible for staff development.
8. Excellent written communication skills, clear & concise;
9. As a planning / schedule management specialist, stays up to date with key industry / professional trends;
10. In depth knowledge of schedule management tools & software
11. Able to provide effective & timely advice to clients;
12. Understanding of data management;
13. Clearly understands role & future career paths available from that position;
14. Excellent attention to detail & able to validate & check schedule management inputs, recording & reports produced, providing basic commentary & analysis;
15. Manages Assistant and Planning Managers where required by the scale of the project
16. Persuading and influencing colleagues
