About the Role
Vision for Education are looking for a committed and dynamic individual to train as a Cover Supervisor for a mainstream secondary school in Kendal. This full-time position is available immediately and offers the potential for a permanent role within the school.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will step in during teacher absences to deliver pre-set lessons, manage classroom behaviour, and ensure students stay on task. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals considering a future career in teaching, education, or youth work.
You’ll receive full support and training, with access to development opportunities to build your confidence in managing a classroom and delivering lessons effectively.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supervise students in the classroom during short-term teacher absences.
2. Ensure pupils complete pre-set work and maintain a positive, focused classroom environment.
3. Manage behaviour effectively, in line with the school's behaviour policy.
4. Build positive relationships with students and staff.
5. Provide feedback to teaching staff after lessons.

The ideal Cover Supervisor will:

10. Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Previous experience in schools is desirable but not essential—training will be provided.
