Job Type: Mon - Fri. Full-time, Permanent. (Varied shifts between 7am-10pm)
Looking to kick-start your career in logistics and planning? At Silver X Group, we'll give you the tools, experience, and support to grow into a skilled Transport Planner. You'll work closely with our operations, planning, and customer service teams to make sure everything runs smoothly- from routing vehicles to meeting customer expectations.
This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and ideal for someone who's flexible, curious, and ready to learn how transport really works.
What You'll Do
* Learn all aspects of transport planning- routes, vehicle allocation, and scheduling
* Support day-to-day operations to ensure deliveries are on time and efficient
* Communicate with drivers, customers, and partners to solve problems quickly
* Use planning software and systems to optimise costs and performance
* Help monitor fleet performance, driver hours, and compliance
* Build strong relationships across teams and with customers
* Spot opportunities to improve how we work
* Take on your own planning responsibilities within your first few months

* Have a relevant degree (or equivalent experience)
* Understand UK geography or the transport industry
