The successful candidate will be working closely with the test department’s team members, providing knowledge, experience, motivation, support, and advice. They will be responsible for knowing the correct procedures for staff to follow and ensuring that they comply. Reviewing current test procedures regularly to keep them in line with the current company policies, servicing and maintaining equipment, and designing new equipment. Responsibilities Make sure employees training is up to date to carry out their job role and updating the training matrix. Fault finding and carrying out repairs to manual test equipment. Fault finding and carrying out simple repairs to the Automatic Test Equipment. Identify issues, raise concerns, and plan corrective actions. Suggesting and implementing improvements to existing Test Equipment. Suggesting new equipment and methods required to aid testing of Company products. Understand calibration and measurement techniques using oscilloscopes and other instrumentation. Be proficient in the reading of circuit diagrams to enable fault finding to component level. Read and understand component data sheets. Follow documented policies and procedures as designated by the company. Follow detailed instructions, processes, and procedures. Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions. Health and Safety in the workplace. Skills, Experience and Person Specification Ability to follow instructions and diagrams. Working to tight deadlines with a high level of accuracy. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Decision- making skills. Working knowledge of test instrumentation (DMM, oscilloscope, variac, electronic load, etc.) Computer literate.
