Staff for Education are seeking a reliable and proactive School Site Manager to support a Primary School in the Sutton-In-Ashfield area. This role is 20 hours per week, working 2pm-6pm. This position is available to start as soon as possible. As a School Caretaker, your responsibilities will include: •Ensuring an effective and efficient caretaking, cleaning and maintenance service across the whole school •Opening and locking the school premises, responding to alarms and securing the site when required, including emergency situations •Ensuring the security and safety of the school buildings and grounds •Carrying out routine maintenance and minor repairs •Monitoring and maintaining plant and equipment, including heating systems and boilers in line with regulations •Completing and recording regular health and safety checks, including fire equipment and water outlets •Maintaining external areas, including litter removal, clearing drains, salting surfaces and snow clearance when required •Overseeing contractors on site, ensuring compliance with health & safety and safeguarding procedures •Supporting planned and reactive maintenance, repairs and improvements to the premises •Undertaking manual handling duties, including moving furniture and setting up spaces for school activities •Carrying out cleaning duties as required, including windows and graffiti removal, and supporting...
