We are currently seeking caring and motivated SEN Tutors in Christchurch to work with children and young people who benefit from tailored one-to-one learning. Role: SEN Tutor Location: Christchurch and nearby areas Hours: Flexible part-time and full-time opportunities available The Role As an SEN Tutor, you will provide individual tuition sessions outside of mainstream classroom settings, supporting learners with a variety of additional needs. Your role will focus on creating engaging lessons that help students develop confidence, improve engagement, and achieve positive educational outcomes. Main Responsibilities Deliver personalised one-to-one tuition sessions Support students with needs such as Autism, ADHD, SEMH, anxiety, and learning difficulties Adapt learning materials and teaching strategies to suit individual learners Encourage independence, motivation, and emotional wellbeing Build positive relationships with students and families Track learner progress and adjust sessions where required Maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment About You Experience working with children or young people is beneficial Backgrounds in education, mentoring, youth work, care, tutoring, or support roles are welcomed Strong communication and organisational abilities Calm, patient, and adaptable approach Understanding of safeguarding practices Ability to travel across Christchurch and surrounding locations What We Offer Flexible working arrangements Competitive hourly pay Ongoing training and development opportunities Dedicated consultant support A rewarding opportunity to positively impact young people’s lives If you are passionate about helping learners overcome barriers and succeed in education, we would love to hear from you.
