About This Job Opportunity: We are looking for a skilled Legal Counsel to assist the Head of Legal within a fast-paced sales lead business. This role involves leading the negotiation and drafting of customer contracts, working closely with the Sales team, interpreting the legal and contract responsibilities of the business, and assisting in their implementation.
What Makes This Role Exciting: The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside the Compliance, InfoSec, and data protection teams, and will be responsible for negotiating and drafting contracts with prospects, customers, partners, and vendors.
Main Responsibilities: The key responsibilities of this role include:
* Supporting the global sales team in new business activities
* Negotiating and drafting contracts with prospects, customers, partners, and vendors
* Drafting and negotiating bespoke agreements to support new projects across the business
* Working with the wider sales and commercial teams on renewals and amendments for the existing customer base
* Working with the wider team to deliver appropriate training and supporting documentation to the sales team
General Responsibilities include:
* Working with the wider sales and commercial teams to develop and implement end-to-end contract management processes and legal documentation storage
* Ensuring that the business is kept up to date with changes in law and that its contractual arrangements appropriately reflect any changes
* Providing general expertise and guidance with regards to specific contractual issues and disputes
* Providing support on projects
* Supporting Senior Legal Counsel
* Other ad-hoc duties as requested
Experience Needed For This Role: The ideal candidate will be a qualified solicitor or Barrister with solid post-qualification experience in a similar role. They will have a strong attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken form.
