Due to growth plans within the business our company is looking for an experienced Senior Digital Marketing Specialist with the ability to work under their own supervision and provide a strategic yet hands on approach. You will be responsible for working on a digital marketing strategy and increasing the local and online presence of the company to generate more sales leads and enquiries
An experienced Senior Digital Marketing Specialist is sought to drive and implement a growth marketing strategy in collaboration with the Digital Marketing Team who they will lead and manage
This role will focus on identifying, developing, and executing comprehensive SEO strategies, Ads on LinkedIn and Google PPC to maximise website visibility and drive targeted traffic with the main focus on LEAD GENERATION
You will be based at the head office in Leicester next to the national space centre and be working on a full-time basis. This is an office based role. You will be working in a Team which has content writers, SEO Specialists, Graphic Designers and a Digital Marketing Manager to learn new skills and work in a dedicated team
The ideal candidate will possess excellent people skills, the ability to work both cross-functionally and independently, and experience in managing and coaching a team. Experience within the B2B Telecom/VOIP/IT sector would be advantageous
Key Responsibilities In The Position of Digital Marketing Manager Include:
* Plan and execute SEO and paid campaigns in collaboration with the Head of Digital Marketing and Digital Content Coordinators to meet personal, team, and business KPIs
* Optimise the website for search, including the enhancement of existing products and brands to drive customer acquisition growth
* Identify and resolve technical issues impacting website crawlability and indexing, including site speed, broken links, and structured data
* Define content, development, and distribution strategies in partnership with the Head of Digital Marketing and Senior Marketing Executive, based on industry trends, ranking fluctuations, and key search terms
* Manage backlink-building initiatives to improve domain authority.
* Enhance site health and search engine results page (SERP) visibility through the management and execution of the SEO roadmap
* Regularly monitor and analyse website and search performance using tools such as SEMrush and Google Search Console, identifying opportunities and delivering actionable recommendations
* Create and manage targeted PPC campaigns on Google Ads and LinkedIn to drive customer acquisition growth and maintain a high return on advertising spend (ROAS).
* Oversee the paid advertising budget, executing bid adjustments based on performance, pacing, or promotional activities
* Conduct continuous analysis of paid search campaigns to identify optimisation opportunities through ad copy, keywords, assets, ad groups, targeting, and bidding
* Produce weekly and monthly performance reports for both paid and organic initiatives
* Stay updated with the latest trends in SEO and PPC, algorithm updates, and best practices in search engine optimisation
* Manage, coach, and nurture direct reports to develop their skills and contribute effectively to the team's goals
* Maintain compliance with intellectual property and legal requirements, ensuring adherence to cybersecurity practices and operational standards, copyright protection of website assets
* Undertake other duties as assigned by the Head of Digital Marketing – weekly and monthly performance reporting of organic traffic, lead generation and PPC campaign performance
This role offers excellent development plans for the right candidate. You will require the following:
* Experience in a digital marketing role at least 5+ years
* Background within a marketing agency is preferred but not mandatory
* Excellent communications skills
* Experience using local and online/offline SEO tools/software such as SEM Rush/MOZ, What Converts, Microsoft Clarity, Adwords etc
* Experience using Google Analytics/Webmaster for reporting
You will be working closely with the management team to promote our services online and build a client base. You will also perform the following duties:
* Developing and managing online lead generation plans
* Daily management of PPC, SEO and display advertising campaigns
* Creating innovative online marketing campaigns to support the wider marketing strategy
* Designing and delivering email campaigns aimed at generating new business
* Working with internal departments to generate exciting content
* Developing the company's online and social media presence
* Evaluating campaign performance and identifying ways to increase response rates
* Evaluating keywords and content on the website to improve SEO performance
Using Software such as SEM Rush, MOZ, Google Analytics etc to carry out SEO work to increase traffic to our website and then carry out CRO on landing pages to generate leads
To be considered for this opportunity you will require the following skills and experience:
* Circa five years commercial experience working within digital acquisition across search, paid, analytics, Email and UX.
* Experience in leading the project management and launch of new websites working with development teams.
* Strong analytical skills and experience in GA well versed in reporting on website performance.
* Experience of UX and CRO.
* Experience in planning, developing, and executing traffic driving consumer campaigns.
* Confident operator and comfortable liaising with external stakeholders.
Experience of using Google Analytics and other Google functions such as Google My Business, Google Search Console and Google Ads
The ability to plan and manage your own workload and to ensure projects are completed efficiently
Be able to use, and have a good knowledge of: -
· SEO - a solid understanding of best practice with demonstrable experience of how to drive organic traffic
· PPC - how to set up, manage and analyse pay for click campaigns
· PPC - how to set up, manage and report on performance
Required Skills In The Position of Digital Marketing Manager Include:
* Strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices.
* Expertise in setting up and managing PPC campaigns from start to finish across different platforms.
* Proficiency in using SEO and PPC tools (Google Search Console, Google Ads, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Lead Tracking Software)
* Excellent analytical skills to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
* Strong writing and communication skills to create compelling ad copy and reports.
* Experience in digital marketing with a proven track record of success
· Proven experience as a Digital Marketing Manager or similar senior role.
· Expertise in SEO, PPC, Social Media, Content Marketing, and Marketing Automation.
· Strong analytical skills with proficiency in tools such as Google Analytics, SEMrush, HubSpot, or similar.
· Excellent leadership and people management skills, with experience in team development and performance management.
· Exceptional communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
· Up-to-date with the latest digital marketing trends, technologies, and best practices.

Salary, benefits and working hours:
* The starting salary on offer is up to £30,000 - if highly experienced can be negotiated. 20 days annual leave + bank holidays Christmas shutdown
