The Role We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Transport Operations Co-Ordinator to support the Transport Supervisor in the day-to-day running of our transport operations. The successful candidate will play a vital role in dispatching drivers, managing fleet allocation, maintaining system accuracy, and ensuring efficient communication with drivers and customers. Dispatch drivers at the start of their shifts with clear instructions and appropriate allocations. Allocate units (vehicles) to drivers based on availability and job requirements. Accurately update internal systems to reflect driver schedules and working days. Create transport jobs in the system and assign workloads for the following day. Live plan and adjust driver assignments during the day to accommodate changes. Monitor driver punctuality and location using vehicle tracking systems. Maintain regular communication with drivers to provide support and direction. Notify customers promptly if delivery schedules are impacted by delays. Utilise Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Excel, Outlook) effectively for planning and communication tasks. Support compliance with transport regulations and internal policies. Provide administrative support and report generation as required. About You We’re looking for someone who brings: Proven experience in transport or logistics operations, ideally in a night-based role. Able to work independently and make decisions without direct supervision. Strong planning and problem-solving skills. Confident and professional communicator, both verbally and in writing. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and transport/vehicle tracking systems. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and operational efficiency. Calm under pressure and adaptable to changing priorities and schedules.
