Information about the Programme Facilitator role:


Emeritus is seeking a Programme Facilitator in Mergers and Acquisitions for IMPERIAL Business School. The Programme Facilitator is a subject matter expert that shapes the student’s experience and guides students through their learning journey. Candidates must have industry experience, demonstrated knowledge of the course subject area, strong interpersonal skills, and previous experience in teaching, mentoring or other instructional role. This is a great role for someone who wants work flexibility and the chance to diversify their resume with consultancy and teaching experience.

This is an independent contractor position in a remote setting.


Responsibilities of the Programme Facilitator include but are not limited to:


* Facilitate weekly office hours and moderate required discussion boards.
* Respond to group and individual questions about program content and assignments.
* Conduct interactive webinars to stimulate student learning.
* Provide assignment feedback on a select number of assignments in the program.
* Moderate and guide learner engagement during faculty live sessions.
* Support learners in synthesizing live session content delivered by the faculty.
* Assist with capstone assignment challenges.
* Monitor learner progress and provide support or escalation as needed.
* Collaborate with the Emeritus team to solve unexpected program challenges. Suggest improvements to ensure content is communicated clearly, accurately, and effectively in videos, assignments and collateral mate.


Qualifications for the role:


* 10+ years of extensive work experience in the field of finance, economy or any related field.
* A degree plus MBA from a top university.
* Proven experience overseeing the due diligence process, including legal, financial operational and regulatory reviews in the merger and acquisition process.
* Experience identifying potential acquisitions targets, researching market trends and developing a target list.
* Experience with financial analysis, statements and creating financial models.
* Proven experience with negotiation transaction terms, closing conditions and key legal agreements.
* Experience building integration planning, developing and executing post-merger processes.
* Experience designing complex informational and communication sessions to stakeholders.
* Experience facilitating and teaching executives, preferably in an online environment.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to listen effectively, respond appropriately, and maintain a mutual comfort level while working with a diverse population.


Programme Description:

The programme in Mergers & Acquisitions from Imperial College Business School is a learning experience delivered by leading experts in the field of Merger & Acquisition. The programme has been designed to lead you through both the financial and the strategic aspects of corporate restructuring. It will enable participants to participate in a successful M&A deal, from identifying the benefits for both buyer and seller to establishing valuation to leveraging bidding techniques. By the end of the programme participants will be able to recognize the various forms of corporate restructuring and their potential value and with that they will be able to identify the differences, functions, benefits, and challenges of M&A. It will also help them to identify the responsibilities of each player in an M&A deal and it will help them to gain a deeper awareness of the players and processes in mergers and acquisitions.

* Duration: 11-weeks (estimated learner commitment: 4–5 hours/week).
* Structure: Blend of asynchronous Canvas activities and live Zoom sessions.
* Target Audience: Mid- to senior-level professionals and leaders.
