Kitchen Assistant, Letham Park — Renaissance Care (Scotland). We are looking for a passionate, creative and caring individual to work within our catering team. We are seeking an experienced Kitchen Assistant (or someone with a background in hospitality) to join our team in Letham Park for 35 hours a week.
Responsibilities
* As a Kitchen Assistant, you are an essential member of the catering team, helping ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen and dining areas.
* Assist in the preparation and serving of nutritious meals, catering to residents' dietary needs and preferences, including special dietary requirements.
* Set up and clear dining areas; maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene in kitchen, serving and dining areas.
* Keep the kitchen and equipment clean and ensure all safety and hygiene protocols are followed.
* Engage with residents to build meaningful connections, supporting a hospitality-style approach to catering and helping to develop seasonal menus that promote choice and independence as core elements of their dining experience.
Requirements
* Effective communication and ability to work well as part of a team.
* Good eye for detail; ideally experience in a similar environment.
* Basic Food Hygiene certificate.
* Knowledge of the correct use of kitchen equipment as well as COSHH and HACCP regulations.
