We're looking for a Commercial Manager to join our Thames Water Framework based on the Maple Lodge STW project.
Location: Maple Lodge STW – remote working available, with travel to the office/site required at least 3 days a week.
Hours: 45 hours per week – some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We're seeking a Commercial Manager to oversee the commercial, financial and contractual aspects of the Maple Lodge STW upgrade project – one of our flagship £200m+ wastewater infrastructure schemes. You'll play a central role in project delivery, working alongside a multidisciplinary team to ensure commercial success from pre-construction through to final account. What will you be responsible for?
As a Commercial Manager, you'll be working within the Commercial team, supporting them in delivering commercial excellence across the project. Your day to day will include:
* Leading all commercial, financial and contractual management for the project, ensuring compliance and driving financial performance
* Managing and mentoring a team of Quantity Surveyors, supporting their development and fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture
* Establishing robust cost management processes including forecasting, budget reporting and value engineering initiatives
* Overseeing supply chain procurement, subcontract management and contract negotiation
* Maintaining the commercial risk and opportunities register, identifying risks early and developing mitigation actions
What are we looking for?
This role of Commercial Manager is great for you if:
* You have proven experience as a Commercial Manager on major civil engineering or water infrastructure projects
* You have a strong understanding of contract management and change control processes
* You have demonstrable experience managing and mentoring a commercial team
* You're skilled in cost forecasting, financial reporting, subcontract management and commercial risk management
* You have excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate across design, engineering and planning functions
