We're looking for an organised and detail-driven Payroll Assistant to join our team. You'll play a key role in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time, supporting the full payroll cycle and providing excellent service to colleagues across the business.
This is a great opportunity for someone with strong administrative or payroll experience who enjoys working with data, problem-solving, and maintaining high standards of accuracy.
Key Responsibilities Assist with the preparation and processing of weekly and monthly payrolls.
Maintain and update employee records, starters, leavers, and changes.
Check timesheets, overtime, bonuses, and commission entries for accuracy.
Respond to payroll queries from employees in a timely and professional manner.
Support with payroll reconciliations and reporting.
Ensure compliance with HMRC, company policies, and statutory requirements.
Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure smooth data flow.Assist with year-end tasks, including P60s, P11Ds, and tax documentation.
About You Previous experience in a payroll or finance administration role (desirable).
Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail.
Good understanding of payroll processes and legislation (training can be provided).
Confident using payroll systems and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
A proactive approach and willingness to learn.
