Our client is seeking a Business Services Assistant Manager to join its team in Newark. The successful candidate will support senior managers in delivering high-quality accounting and advisory services to a varied client portfolio, while taking responsibility for team development and project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a portfolio of business clients and deliver tailored accounting and advisory solutions.
* Ensure the quality and timeliness of client assignments, working within agreed budgets and deadlines.
* Support senior managers in developing and expanding client portfolios.
* Lead and manage team members, including conducting performance reviews and setting objectives.
* Deliver on-the-job training and support for junior team members across a variety of client sectors.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to scope client requirements and escalate issues when necessary.
Candidate Requirements
* ACA or ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience.
* Previous experience in a practice environment with a strong understanding of business services.
* Demonstrated people management skills, including team leadership and staff development.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build long-term client relationships.
