Since 1962 the National Autistic Society has campaigned to transform lives, change attitudes and create a society that works for autistic people. In National Programmes we champion the rights and interests of autistic people and their families, ensuring national policy and legislation reflect their needs. We provide autism training and best practice services and want all autistic people to have access to services and support that fully meet their needs. We provide diagnostic services, training, accreditation, consultancy and conferences to support professionals and organisations.
We are looking for a Social Media Innovation Manager to join our busy Communications team and help shape the stories we share about our work and increase understanding of autism on our social media channels.
This is a permanent role, 5 days per week (35 hours). The salary is £40,000 – £42,000. The role reports to the Head of Communications. Remote/Homebased work is available.
What you will do
* Lead the charity’s social media strategy and drive creative, inclusive and impactful campaigns.
* Elevate autistic voices, engage the community and increase public understanding of autism.
* Bring fresh thinking to digital presence, testing new formats, platforms and storytelling approaches.
* Shape social media communications with a strong focus on innovation, accessibility and community engagement.
* Collaborate with the Communications team to deliver strategic social media initiatives.
