Job Overview
As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and high-quality care to individuals in both care homes and home care settings. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily living activities, supporting care plans, and ensuring that the needs of our clients are met with dignity and respect. This position requires excellent communication skills and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those in your care.
This role is for a casual contract so hours of work will be when required, this will includes days, nights and sleep in shifts to help cover annual leave, sickness and a short fall in the rotas
Applicants will require a level 2 QCF in care with at least 1 year experience and be registered with social care Wales

Duties
* Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support individuals with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times.
* Help clients with meal preparation and feeding as necessary.
* Maintain accurate records of care plans and client progress.
* Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
* Participate in the development and implementation of individualised care plans.
* Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
* Qualifications
* Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
* A valid driving licence is advantageous for transport purposes.
* Strong command of English, both written and verbal, to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
* Proficient IT skills for maintaining records and using electronic care systems.
* Excellent communication skills, demonstrating empathy and patience when interacting with clients.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Pay: £12.60 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 12 per week
