Traffic Management Operative - Walsall, West Midlands, United Kingdom (On-site)

Reporting to the Traffic Management Supervisor, the Traffic Management Operative will be responsible for deploying Traffic Signals on both planned and reactive Traffic Projects. Additionally, this role will assist in the execution of Permanent Traffic Signal Works, ensuring all operations are conducted efficiently and safely.
This role is vital in ensuring the safe and effective management of traffic systems, contributing to the smooth flow of vehicles and pedestrians in urban environments in Walsall and surrounding areas.
What you’ll do:
* Carry out safety checks of equipment
* Perform battery swaps
* Deploy traffic management on both planned and reactive works
* Assist installation and engineering teams onsite
* Ensure compliance with site specifications, maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy
* Prepare equipment for works
* Maintain vigilance regarding workplace safety by adhering to Health and Safety Procedures
Who you are:
You will have previous experience in a Traffic Management role and hold the required qualifications to work onsite. You should have a positive, proactive attitude, and be flexible to travel within the region and undertake ad-hoc night work if necessary.
Key Requirements:
* A valid and clean driving license
* NHSS 12D M1,2 & 5 qualifications
* Experience working on highways or urban roads
* Good communication skills
* Basic mechanical knowledge
* Basic electrical knowledge
* Ability to work under pressure with a positive attitude
