Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety. Duties
* Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and staff management.
* Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
* Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to the restaurant's menu and standards.
* Maintain food safety protocols, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
* Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings.
* Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
* Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen at all times.
* Train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, safety standards, and operational procedures.
Experience
* Proven experience in a culinary role within a restaurant setting is essential.
* Strong supervisory experience with demonstrated team management skills.
* Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
* Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality.
* Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
