We have exciting opportunities in our Sport Department for a Sports Coaching Lecturer, full time at 37 hours.
You will provide information to customers and advice and guidance to potential, existing and new students on a range of issues and promote the services of the College. Supporting students with their career goals and contributing to the achievement of the College aims and objectives.
Ideally, you will:
* Hold a degree or equivalent in a Sports Coaching or Sports Development subject
* Possess a PGCE / Cert Ed. at Level 5 teaching qualification or equivalent or a willingness to work towards.
* Hold GCSE's in English and maths
* Experience within the sport and leisure industry – Sports Coaching experience preferable.
* Excellent knowledge of sport and education and the factors affecting these.
Day-to-day you will be responsible for:
* Delivering high quality and inclusive teaching and learning on one or more courses.
* Support the curriculum management on curriculum and course development.
* Take part and comply with all quality assurance procedures and systems within the area of responsibility.
* Developing resources, supporting teaching programmes and deliver on a number of courses as required.
* Supporting the achievement of annual targets for learner numbers, income, expenditure and success rates.
