An exciting opportunity has arisen for Class Teacher to join Leycroft Academy. The Class Teacher – will actively supporting school activities where required, including attending educational trips, extra-curricular activities and parents’ evenings, which may require some out-of-hours availability. Lye croft Academy is a Primary Special School situated in the eastern area of Birmingham Pupils attend the school from across Birmingham and some other neighbouring local authorities. All of the children who attend Leycroft Academy have a Statement of Special Educational Need or an Education and Health Care Plan. Our school educates children who have a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD). In our endeavour to meet their wide ranging educational and social needs, we provide an appropriate curriculum, which encompasses and extends the National Curriculum. Our whole school curriculum model provides a natural progression from an Early Years Foundation Learning programme, towards full participation within the National Curriculum framework, with programmes designed for and implemented at an appropriate level.
