Join Our Team as a ICT Senior Data Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on managing and transitioning data from traditional on-premises SQL environments to Azure cloud solutions, with a special emphasis on master data management using MS Azure SQL. The successful candidate will be key in integrating various Management Information System (MIS) databases with Azure master data repositories. Responsibilities:
4. Lead the project to migrate on-premises SQL databases to Azure, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
5. Managing on-premises SQL server databases.
6. Develop and execute strategies for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) to transition from on-premises to Azure environments.
7. Database Integration.
8. Connect on-premises MIS systems to Azure SQL databases.
9. Integrate cloud-based MIS systems through API connections to Azure master data, facilitating seamless data exchange using identifiers like Gazetteer UPRN (Unique Property Reference Number).
10. Ensure all data handling complies with UK GDPR and other relevant regulations.
Requirements:
11. Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
In addition to the above, we require an individual with a degree of fluency in the Welsh language.
A successful applicant without the required Welsh language skill will be fully supported to reach the desired standard within two years of appointment.
