As Marketing Executive, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the online presence and brand visibility of our hotels. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you will work closely with a friendly, close-knit team that values creativity, collaboration and fresh thinking. Together, you’ll deliver engaging, insight-led campaigns that connect with our audience and support business growth. This role is remote-based with occasional travel to our Birmingham office and hotels across the UK.


Key Responsibilities


• CRM: Lead and execute CRM strategies and campaigns for our hotels with compelling creative and a focus on personalisation, automation and segmentation to drive direct bookings, wedding enquiries, F&B and events

• Web & SEO: Maintain and update Brightstar and hotel websites to include seasonal offers, “What’s On” pages, banners, articles, content optimisation and SEO

• PPC: Manage PPC activity (Google Ads, Meta, retargeting and display) in partnership with agencies, ensuring strong ROI and continuous optimisation

• Paid & Organic Social: Content creation and social media support across Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn

• Marketing Collateral: Support in the creation of marketing collateral templates for hotels including digital, social and print (menus, brochures, posters etc.)

• AI & Automation: Research and implementation of the latest advancements in AI to support the marketing function at Brightstar

• Brightstar Central Marketing Support : Support Brightstar central team projects, new hotel launches, photography and events on an ad-hoc basis

• Reporting: Use analytics tools to monitor performance, identify opportunities and optimise activity across all digital channels, with regular reporting on KPIs, marketing initiatives, performance and future actions across the portfolio of hotels


CRM


• Develop and execute retention, recall, lapsing and value-led campaigns to drive bookings and guest loyalty across our portfolio

• Lead on trigger emails and the automation strategy of Brightstar CRM including birthday emails, pre-arrival and post-stay journeys

• Build and refine segmentation strategies to ensure highly targeted and personalised communications

• Develop and execute email capture initiatives across all guest touchpoints to maximise database growth and quality

• Track and analyse campaign performance (open rates, CTR, conversion, revenue) and optimise continuously


Website Development


• Manage and maintain hotel websites, ensuring content is accurate, engaging and conversion-focused

• Create and upload landing pages, blog content and promotional banners aligned to marketing activity

• Optimise on-page SEO including metadata, keyword usage, internal linking and content structure

• Monitor website performance and user behaviour to identify opportunities to improve UX and conversion

• Assist with external developers or agencies to implement technical improvements where required

• Ensure all website content aligns with brand standards and SEO best practice using platforms such as SE Ranking


Paid & Organic Social Media


Either directly, or by supporting hotel teams:

• Create, curate and schedule engaging content across Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn

• Maintain a content calendar to ensure consistent, high-quality posting

• Monitor channels for trends, opportunities and guest feedback

• Work with influencers and creators to support events, PR and brand storytelling

• Produce visually appealing content (graphics, photography, short-form video)

• Stay up to date with platform trends, algorithm changes and best practice


PPC


• Manage PPC activity in partnership with agencies across Google Ads, Meta and other paid platforms

• Optimise campaigns to improve targeting, messaging, bidding and ROI

• Monitor performance metrics and provide regular insights and recommendations

• Support retargeting, display and paid social campaigns to drive direct bookings


Marketing Collateral


• Support the creation and rollout of branded marketing collateral templates for use across the hotel portfolio

• Develop digital and print-ready assets including menus, brochures, posters, flyers and on-property materials

• Ensure all collateral aligns with Brightstar brand guidelines and maintains a consistent visual identity

• Work closely with hotel teams to understand requirements and deliver fit-for-purpose materials

• Support seasonal campaigns and promotions with high-quality creative assets

• Liaise with printers and external suppliers where required to ensure quality and timely delivery


Brightstar Central Team Support


• Support the Head of Marketing with group-wide initiatives, brand development and digital innovation

• Assist with internal communications, brand asset creation and cross-portfolio campaigns

• Contribute to the development of digital best practice across the business

• Support new hotel openings with digital launch plans, website setup, CRM integration and content creation

• Assist with brand development for new independent hotels


Reporting


• Track key KPIs including traffic, engagement, conversion and revenue contribution

• Produce regular performance reports with clear insights and actionable recommendations

• Identify trends and opportunities to optimise campaigns and improve results

• Support a test-and-learn approach across all marketing activity


Skills & Qualifications


• Strong understanding of CRM, email marketing and customer lifecycle journeys

• Proven experience in digital marketing across CRM, PPC, SEO and social media, with a strong focus on driving commercial results

• Confident using CMS platforms, email marketing tools, analytics dashboards (Google ecosystem) and creative platforms such as Canva

• Experience managing and optimising websites with a solid understanding of SEO and conversion best practices

• Knowledge of PPC and performance marketing principles

• Interest in AI and marketing technology, with the ability to identify opportunities for automation and innovation

• Highly organised with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Confident communicator with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders

• Creative thinker with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset

• Ideally, experience within hospitality, hotels, travel, retail or multi-site consumer businesses is preferred
