Senior System Specialist required for a world leading University that is highly regarded as an innovative, transformative and collaborative institution.
The Role
Driving excellence in systems support by delivering a high-quality, efficient, and dependable support and maintenance service for the HR/Payroll system, ensuring optimal system performance and user satisfaction.
Providing advanced technical leadership for the HR/Payroll system, translating evolving business needs into effective solutions through advanced configuration, innovative enhancements, and the resolution of complex technical challenges, while contributing to key system-related projects.
Cultivating strong partnerships with stakeholders and external suppliers, building and maintaining productive working relationships to ensure seamless service delivery, system improvements, and long-term value.
Experience Required
* Extensive hands‑on SAP Payroll configuration experience, including schemas, wage types, rules, and complex payroll calculations.
* Proven application/systems support expertise, with the ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues, and manage escalations with internal teams and software suppliers.
* Demonstrable senior-level experience in HR/Payroll systems, with a credible track record of delivering complex system changes and enhancements.
* Strong practical delivery capability, with a focus on performing and implementing technical solutions rather than purely leading or coordinating projects.
* Up-to-date knowledge of legislation governing HR administration, payroll and/or pensions legislation including GDPR.
