Software Developer - SQL, C# and Data Location: York Salary: £45,000 to £60,000 depending on experience Working pattern: Monday to Friday, hybrid working available If you are a developer who enjoys building data-driven systems that directly impact operations, this role offers the opportunity to work at the heart of a fast-paced manufacturing environment where systems, data and performance are closely connected. You will contribute to the optimisation of systems that keep operations running, supporting teams who rely on real-time data to maintain output, quality and performance. What you will be doing Design, develop and maintain SQL Server databases using T-SQL, SSIS and SSRS Build and enhance C# applications that support order fulfilment, tracking and receipting processes Integrate external APIs to streamline procurement and logistics workflows Transform and manage data from multiple sources to support operational systems and digital delivery Develop and maintain data warehousing solutions to enable reporting and business insight Support the modernisation of internal systems including CRM and finance platforms Work with tools across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem including SharePoint and Power Automate Ensure data security, integrity and compliance in line with recognised standards What we are looking for Proven experience working with SQL Server, including T-SQL, SSIS and SSRS Strong C# development skills with experience building and maintaining applications Experience integrating APIs and working with connected systems Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes Experience with Microsoft 365 tools such as SharePoint and Power Automate Awareness of data security and compliance frameworks Ability to work in a structured, process-driven environment and communicate with both technical and operational teams We are keen to speak with candidates from Software Developer, Data Developer, Systems Developer or Data Engineer backgrounds, particularly those who have worked in manufacturing, engineering or logistics environments.
