The proposed system is supposed to improve and enhance the indoor air quality (IAQ). The successful candidate is required to set up the experimental system, including the measuring sensors, and carry out tests of the device using an environmental control chamber in the Department of Architecture and Built Environment. Training and support will be provided by a qualified research team and technical staff to complete the duties. Skills and experience required for the role: Ability to set up a small laboratory-scale carbon capture module and a flexible fibre mat for degassing using a photocatalytic system. What you can expect to gain during this role: The successful applicant will gain knowledge of air purification systems (carbon capture) and develop skills in setting up and taking measurements of various parameters, including temperature, air flow rate, and air quality, using measuring sensors and data logging devices. The candidate will also advance knowledge on assessing the performance of a laboratory device (air purification system, in this case), and plot a comparative graph of the results.
