HR Business Partner Basingstoke Hybrid – 50/50 every 2 weeks £ per hour 12 month contract


Your newpany

I am working with a large financial service-based organisation in Basingstoke to recruit for a HR Business Partner. This is a generalist role supporting 2 business units, alongside another HRBP. In this role, you’ll work closely with the leaders of your business units to make sure people, culture, and ways of working are set up for success. You’ll be the go‑to partner for all things HR, helping shape a positive employee experience and building strong leadership capability.
Key responsibilities
1. Delivering efficient and high-quality operational HR support covering all key areas, ensuring this follows legislative/best practice as well as the evolving needs of the business
2. Championing the implementation of HR strategy within the context of the business area’s requirements
3. Managing the continual professional development of the business units (in conjunction with L&D Team as appropriate) to create and maintain a highly skilled workforce and an environment of continuous learning
4. Employing strong recruitment and selection skills to attract new talent, optimise the quality of new joiners and engage them during the onboarding process
5. Acting as an ambassador for DEI programs, promoting a culture of continuous feedback
6. Taking the lead in all employee relations including grievances, disciplinary matters, consultation, and reorganisation. Implement change in line with values
7. Measuring and analysing HR performance, identify trends or issues and work with the leadership team to address them as appropriate (related to Global People Survey results, Gender Pay Gap and attrition data).
8. Working with the business to assist with mobility, succession planning and development of the teams ensuring clarity around career paths
9. Taking part or project lead on ad-hoc projects as requested by the HR Director from time to time.
10. Ensure HR policies and procedures are regularly reviewed and continue to reflect up to date employment law and best practice
11. Understanding and reinforcing a positive culture ofpliance across defined business units
About you
Generalist HR experience is essential.
Ideally, HRBP experience, or senior HR Advisory type role.
