Hastings District Council boasts three indoor and outdoor pools for you to play, exercise, train and learn to swim, alongside Splash Planet and Hastings Sports Centre. To help all of these facilities run smoothly, we are currently on the lookout for a capable Business Support Officer to join the team.
The purpose of this position is to provide Business Support services to our Aquatics, Sports and Recreation teams by providing a full range of efficient administrative services. You will be working closely with Retail services, and the wider staff across the Aquatics, Sport & Rec facilities. In this role your duties will include:
* Daily, weekly, monthly reconciliation/banking
* Monthly inventory management and order tracking
* Training, configuration and reporting of the POS systems
* Monitor email and phone enquiries for prompt resolution

To be successful in this role you will:
* Be a confident office administrator, withthe ability to handle multiple tasks, work under pressure, and conflicting priorities to meet deadlines.
* Be tech savvy, confident in using Word, Excel and Outlook, with the ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
* Haveexcellent customer service and communication skills to build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
* Have retail, inventory, supplier, and stock management experience
* Have astrong desire to take initiative and always seek improvement
This is a permanent part-time position, working 20 hours per week, including some weekend hours during the summer season.
