Overview – Red Meat UK (RMUK) Division Kepak Red Meat UK (consisting of our two brands; St Merryn and McIntosh Donald), operates from three sites within the UK. St. Merryn site in Bodmin, Cornwall has the capacity to slaughter 1,500 cattle per week. St. Merryn in Merthyr Tydfil has combined beef and lamb processing and packing facilities, with the capacity to slaughter 20,000 lambs and 2,000 cattle per week while our second. McIntosh Donald, in Aberdeen has the capacity to slaughter 2,500 lambs and 1,800-2000 cattle per week. We have dedicated retail packing capabilities within our business and offer beef and lamb products ranging from retail ready cuts for butchers’ counters to branded packaged meat, all as part of our service. Responsibilities To support the site Engineering function with day-to-day planning, coordination and administrative duties. Monitor Pirana CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) for unassigned work requests and assign the correct resource within the required timescales, keeping each shift with enough planned work to remain efficient and effective Release and assign the weekly PPM schedules, ensuring that tasks are allocated to the correct shifts/teams. Monitor Pirana CMMS to ensure late and overdue tasks are rescheduled in order of priority. Interrogate Pirana CMMS to pull the relevant information and data to enable the Engineering Manager to populate the weekly reports and KPI Trackers. Maintain the Contractor Permit to Work files for both new and existing Contractors. Liaise with Group on queries and updates to our Safework platform. Maintain the machine/asset/COSHH documentation library (physical/digital) to ensure that up to date technical documentation is available to the Engineers. Monitor Statutory registers and online systems under the guidance of the Engineering Manager to ensure that rectification works raised are captured in Pirana and once actions are completed they are closed out across all platforms. Run and manage the weekly Engineering Stores ‘Parts to re-order’ Report to keep our Stores Inventory above the Safety Stock level. Request quotations from vendors and generate Purchase Orders for all stock and non-stock spend, capturing all orders in the Spend Tracker. Assist with the allocation of new bins/locations for new parts, and in the reorganisation of bins/locations as required. Assist with the delivery of stock/non-stock items. Provide administrative support to the Engineering function as required. Undertake any other associated duties as determined by management. Report any risks or any evidence of unsafe or out of specification product, equipment, packaging or raw materials, to a designated manager to enable the resolution of issues requiring immediate action You will be working Monday to Friday 08:30 am start to 04:30 pm.
