We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Chef to join our vibrant team. We are a family run and owned fish and chip shop based in Bolton. Established in 2014. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks that contribute to the smooth operation of our chip shop, making it essential for you to possess strong hospitality skills and a passion for food.
Responsibilities
* Take and process customer orders accurately, providing recommendations when necessary.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food production and delivery.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including dining tables and waiting areas.
* Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise during service.
* Assist in training new staff members, fostering a supportive team environment.
* Uphold food safety standards and ensure compliance with health regulations.
* Support management in supervising daily operations and maintaining high service standards.
Skills
* Proven experience in a hospitality or restaurant setting is preferred.
* Strong leadership abilities to guide and motivate team members effectively.
* Excellent communication skills to interact positively with guests and colleagues.
* Knowledge of food production processes and culinary practices is advantageous.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
* Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen operations.
