Overview
Volantes Renewables Recruitment is currently supporting a major utilities programme in Scotland and is looking to engage Quantity Surveyors with experience across utilities, civils, or infrastructure projects, with a focus on substation works.
The Role
* Managing commercial duties on live utilities and substation projects
* Preparing and submitting valuations, variations, and cost reports
* Subcontractor procurement and management
* Administration of NEC contracts
* Working closely with project and site teams to ensure accurate cost control and forecasting
* A mixed office and site‑based role, with some flexibility for remote working
What We're Looking For
* Qualified Quantity Surveyor (HNC / HND / Degree level)
* Previous experience within utilities, civils, or infrastructure environments
* Strong working knowledge of NEC contract forms
* Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
* Suitable for freelance contractors or seeking a permanent position
* Available for an immediate or short‑notice start
