Electrician - Level 3 (HMP Bedford)
We are seeking a dedicated fully qualified electrician to join our team at HMP Bedford, a Category B & adult/male prison.

HMP Bedford - St Loyes Street, Bedford MK40
Salary & Allowance
£39,579.20 + 5% shift allowance for weekend working + £1,000 in RRA per annum.

Key Responsibilities
As an electrician, you will work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues who vary from plumbers, other electricians, carpenters, painters, to cleaners, and administrators. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical systems in the prison, ensuring a safe and secure environment for all.
Qualifications & Experience
* Certificate in BS7671:2018 (18th edition)
* Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation or Electrotechnical Services (City & Guilds/EAL), including relevant NVQs and competency assessments (AM2/AM2S) - e.g., 2367 or 2357.
* Two years’ experience working as a fully qualified electrician
* Experience working on commercial or industrial electrical systems
* Good working knowledge of planned and preventive maintenance operations
* Good Health & Safety knowledge
* Excellent organisational, time management and people skills
