An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Children’s Residential Deputy Manager to join a well-established children’s residential service in Haslingden. The home supports children and young people with EBD, SEMH, and challenging behaviours, many of whom have experienced trauma.
This role is ideal for a confident Deputy Manager who is passionate about delivering high-quality, child-centred care and supporting staff teams to achieve positive outcomes.
The Role
As Deputy Manager, you will support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring care is delivered in line with regulatory requirements and best practice.
Key responsibilities include:

Deputising for the Registered Manager when required
*
Supporting, supervising, and leading the staff team
*
Working directly with children and young people with EBD, SEMH, and challenging behaviours
*
Ensuring shifts are effectively planned and staffed
*
Promoting a safe, therapeutic, and nurturing environment
*
Working in partnership with external professionals and agencies
*
Supporting compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

A minimum of 12 months’ experience as a Deputy Manager in a children’s residential setting
*
Experience working with children and young people with EBD, SEMH, and challenging behaviours
*
A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare / Children & Young People Workforce (or equivalent)
*
Good literacy and numeracy skills
*
A resilient, positive, and professional approach
*
Strong leadership and communication skills
*
A full UK driving licence (preferred)
