Duties And Responsibilities
Electrical Maintenance Apprentice will be an integral part of our Maintenance team,
Following specific training plans for the applicable function, the Apprentice will split their time between studies and on-site, hands-on experience, at a pattern that suits the business and the individual (to be agreed during recruitment process).
This is a critical role that supports our need to growth, giving the Company the opportunity to develop our own talent, and giving enthusiastic individuals the opportunity to learn new skills in an exciting business environment.
Upon successful completion, a Modern Apprenticeship certificate will be awarded.
Functions
ESSENTIAL
1. Follow the agreed college programme, attending and completing all required courses and assessments.
2. Work under the supervision of qualified Electrical Technicians and Engineers to support maintenance activities, including (but not limited to):
3. Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM): Assist with routine inspections, testing, and servicing of electrical equipment such as motors, control panels, lighting systems, sensors, and distribution boards.
4. Fault Finding & Repairs: Support troubleshooting of electrical faults using diagnostic tools, helping to repair or replace components safely and efficiently.
5. Installation Work: Assist with installing new electrical systems, wiring, cable containment, and equipment in accordance with electrical standards and site procedures.
6. Electrical Testing: Support testing activities such as continuity checks, insulation resistance testing, and equipment functionality verification.
7. Control & Automation Support: Gain exposure to PLC controlled systems, instrumentation, and automated machinery, assisting senior staff with basic tasks and system checks.
8. Maintain accurate records of work completed, following company procedures.

Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems.
Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems on the Company.
Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment.
Reporting Relationship
10. Electrical Apprentice will report to the appropriate Maintenance Supervisor.

11. NAT5 English, Math’s and a Science discipline, at Level C or above.
