Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Year 4 Teacher to join our vibrant primary school in York. This is a full-time position, commencing after Easter, with a competitive pay rate ranging from £150 to £190 per day.
Requirements:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
2. Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
3. Previous experience teaching Year 4 students or relevant Key Stage 2 experience
4. Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
6. Ability to create engaging lesson plans tailored to diverse learning needs
7. Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
Responsibilities:
8. Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that inspire and challenge Year 4 students
9. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support as needed
10. Create a supportive and nurturing classroom atmosphere conducive to learning
11. Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular initiatives and projects
12. Establish effective communication channels with parents and guardians, keeping them informed about student progress and school events
13. Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and other school-related activities
14. Uphold school policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
