We’re now looking for a Civil & Structural National Discipline Lead (NDL) to take ownership of our national capability — leading people, performance, and growth across a critical engineering discipline.
The opportunity
This Is a Strategic Leadership Role Where You Will
* Lead and grow a national Civil & Structural engineering community
* Drive technical excellence, performance, and service delivery
* Play a key role in work winning, client engagement, and business growth
* Shape how we deliver projects — safely, efficiently, and innovatively
You’ll work closely with the Director of Engineering and Chief Engineers, influencing both standards and performance at a national level.
What You’ll Be Doing
Leadership & People
* Build, lead and mentor a high-performing national team
* Drive recruitment and capability growth across all regions
* Champion a culture of collaboration, development and wellbeing
Delivery & Performance
* Oversee project performance, risk, change and quality
* Ensure delivery aligns with CDM Regulations and SHEQ standards
* Embed continuous improvement and best practice
Growth & Strategy
* Support business development and tendering activity
* Lead mobilisation of new work and scale capability to meet demand
* Contribute to regional and national delivery strategies
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
* Act as a senior leader in client and partner relationships
* Collaborate across Binnies UK and the wider RSK Group
* Represent the discipline in key strategic conversations
What We’re Looking For
* Proven leadership experience in Civil & Structural engineering (multi-region or national preferred)
* Strong track record in project delivery, performance management, and team leadership
* Experience working within frameworks, JVs, and complex delivery environments
* Strong commercial awareness, including contracts and work winning
* Degree-qualified (or equivalent) in Engineering
* Membership of a professional body such as the Institution of Civil Engineers or Institution of Structural Engineers
