Role Overview
As the Event Health and Safety Officer a new role within the business, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of all participants, staff, contractors, and visitors during the planning, setup, operation, and breakdown of events. This is a hands-on, on-site role, requiring you to be present at events to monitor safety, respond to incidents, and support operational teams directly. You will be working on a large range of events across the UK, collaborating closely with the Head of Operations and other stakeholders to implement and monitor safety protocols, conduct risk assessments, and maintain compliance with all relevant legislation and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead Health & Safety operations on-site across several large-scale event locations
· Site inspections
· Ensure compliance with international and local safety regulations
· Liaise with event and site management, contractors, local authorities to ensure consistent safety standards
· Incident Investigation
· Site visits
· Respond promptly to incidents and coordinate follow-up actions and reporting
· Provide guidance on safe working practices
· Stakeholder management
· Engaging with key stakeholders to support the drive on a positive health and safety culture, from employees right through to senior management
· Documentation Management:
· To lead in contractor management and CDM requirements
Essential Qualifications and Experience
· NEBOSH General Certificate
· Experience: Proven experience in event health and safety management on outdoor consumer events, with a strong understanding of event-specific risks and safety requirements.
· Experience and knowledge in Construction Design Management (CDM 2015)
· Understands sensitive situations and manage them with diplomacy and clarity
· Ability to translate complex safety regulations into clear, actionable guidance
· Experience with H&S management systems
· Practical and hands on approach to health and safety
· Ability to work under pressure and make quick, informed decisions

Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
