Job Title: Lead Mechanical Engineer – HydraulicsAs a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing hydraulic systems and equipment for the next generation Royal Navy submarines.This is an exciting opportunity to use your technical expertise to lead the design process, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results.Key responsibilities include undertaking functional design activities, modelling and analysis, producing design documentation and Verification & Validation evidence, and supporting specification qualification and procurement of components.To succeed in this role, you will need experience in the design of hydraulic systems, ideally in complex, safety-critical environments. You should also have familiarity with systems and equipment involving hydraulic power units, variable frequency drives, control cabinets, pumps, electric motors, hydraulic actuators, hydro-static transmissions and fluid mechanics.A proven capability in system lifecycle delivery, from concept through to commissioning, is essential.
