Job Description:
We are seeking an engaging and knowledgeable Humanities Teacher with a passion for History to join a well-regarded Independent mixed school in Brent for a permanent position starting in September. The successful candidate will inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (aged 11-16), fostering a fascination with the past and developing their critical thinking skills within the humanities curriculum.
Responsibilities
* Plan, prepare, and deliver compelling Humanities lessons, primarily focusing on History for Key Stages 3 and 4.
* Prepare students for GCSE History examinations, ensuring a solid understanding of historical concepts and interpretations.
* Create a dynamic learning environment that encourages inquiry, debate, and source analysis within the broader humanities framework.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their understanding.
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialization in History or Humanities.
* Experience teaching Humanities, with a focus on History at Key Stages 3 and 4.
* Strong knowledge of British and world history within a broader humanities context.
* Excellent communication and storytelling skills to bring historical events to life for students.
* Inner London Payscale.
