This role is to assist the Neuro Physiotherapist and Occupational therapist in providing a high standard therapy service to in-patients at St. Helier Hospital. a
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable therapy assistant to join the in‑patient team at St. Helier Hospital, assisting the Neuro therapists in their work. The role will involve direct patient care of complex neurological conditions, working with a Physiotherapist or Occupational therapist. Responsibilities include patient‑facing work on hospital wards including critical care, some unsupervised clinical work as competence allows, administrative tasks and duties such as cleaning/sorting equipment. Applicants should be committed to excellent patient care, capable of team working, have good communication skills, be physically fit to carry out the rehabilitative/mobility work required, and willing and able to take on new challenges, knowledge and skills. The post is part‑time and includes weekend work on a rota basis.

Essential – Skills and Knowledge
* Good written communication skills
* Good evidence of organisational initiative
* Demonstrates a good knowledge of the role of the physiotherapist

* Good Education; A Level/BTEC equivalent
* Sound IT skills
