Description
The Fleet Compliance Manager will take ownership of ensuring the business remains fully compliant with all relevant transport legislation and standards. Reporting to the Head of Fleet & Transport, you will play a critical role in embedding best practice and developing robust compliance processes across a national network.
Key responsibilities include:
* Ensuring full compliance with Operator Licence undertakings and DVSA requirements.
* Managing policies and procedures relating to driver hours, vehicle maintenance, and tachograph analysis.
* Leading internal audits and developing action plans to address gaps or risks.
* Supporting the business in maintaining FORS accreditation and other industry standards.
* Acting as a subject matter expert on transport compliance, advising senior stakeholders.
* Delivering training and guidance to depot management teams and drivers.
* Liaising with regulatory bodies and ensuring accurate reporting.
Profile
The successful Fleet Compliance Manager will demonstrate:
* Strong working knowledge of transport legislation, O Licence management, and DVSA standards.
* Proven experience in a fleet compliance, transport management, or logistics compliance role.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
* The ability to influence at all levels and implement cultural change around compliance.
* National or multi-site experience within logistics and distribution is advantageous.
* Transport Manager CPC qualification is highly desirable.
* Essential to have driving license as travel is required with the role.
