We balance intense academia with whole-person development so individuals can flourish early in life, achieve & maximise their true potential. We are seeking a Trustee.
What difference will you make?
We provide empowering life skills, values-themed programmes called THE BIG 3 + ME (for ages 3 to 5) and THE BIG 5 (for ages 5 to 11) designed for the holistic development of children in primary schools. Since September 2020 teaching Relationships, Sex and Health Education has been part of the statutory curriculum - our pair of BIG THINK fully-resourced programmes enable staff to facilitate and achieve this and very much more. Teachers are short of time and often feel overwhelmed but surveys show many of them recognise they are ill equipped for today's more rounded education expectations and know they need more training in handling the social and emotional aspects of children's learning. However, school budgets are so tight, often such upskilling is not available to them. We fill this training gap by providing innovative, ready-to-teach Big Think programmes for critically important stages in children's development. Schools are grappling with very tight budgets and need comprehensive programmes like ours that nurture the capacity to think critically and independently and live by well-considered, life-enriching values. We need marketing materials and strategies that make a convincing case for subscribing for The Big Think pair of programmes. Our revenue comes from sales of TB3+ME and TB5 and associated training but the harsh economic climate is making this difficult. We need a sustained income so this trustee's role is vital to our future - and to the quality of teaching and learning in primary schools in the UK so that the emerging generation is being properly prepared to thrive throughout the 21st century. We very much welcome a trustee to devise a Marketing, Communications and PR strategy
