What Youll Do
* Collaborate with engineering and project teams to achieve outstanding results.
* Act as a key link between engineers and other departments, communicating effectively to progress tasks on behalf of more senior engineers.
* Perform a variety of engineering tasks that support projects and programs under the guidance of senior engineers, including:
o Writing Method Statements
o Writing Test Specifications
o Implementing ECRs
o Change Management
o Drawing Updates
o Occasional Site Work
* Participate in internal and external meetings, contributing insights to shape the future of the business.
* Maintain thorough and organised documentation following local operating procedures.
Qualifications
* Essential: A minimum of a Level 3 Engineering qualification or completion of an engineering apprenticeship with a strong engineering background (electrical bias).
* Strong communication skills to liaise confidently with staff across engineering and other business functions to drive progress.
* Team player mentality, thriving in a collaborative and supportive work environment.
* Proficiency in MS Office to excel in various tasks.
* Rapid learner with a flexible and adaptable engineering approach to tackle diverse challenges.
* Accurate, diligent, and methodical approach to work in an engineering environment.
* Ability to plan and organise own work following higher-level direction.
* Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the business including suppliers and customers.
* A hunger to learn from this opportunity to support the business and further development.
Desirable
* Knowledge of electrical engineering principles to support innovation.
* Experience in supporting the design, assembly, test, and delivery of complex Defence systems.
* Proven experience using recognised design tools such as electrical design software.
* Aim to progress into a more specialist or supervisory role within the organisation.
